Welcome Aseel!
We are so excited to welcome Aseel Hajazin, PA-C, to the Derma Birmingham team!
Known for her intelligence, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care, Aseel brings a strong background in medical dermatology and oncology.
Aseel earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at UAB’s highly regarded PA program. Her training reflects a commitment to evidence-based medicine and lifelong learning.
Before joining Derma Birmingham, Aseel practiced as a physician assistant at Clearview Cancer Institute, where she provided comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and solid tumor malignancies in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She independently managed chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment cycles and monitored and treated therapy-related toxicities. Central to her work was patient education—guiding individuals and families through diagnosis, treatment expectations, symptom management, survivorship, and preventive care.
Aseel also brings hands-on dermatologic experience from her time at Inverness Dermatology, where she worked closely with dermatologists as a certified medical assistant and first assist on medical and surgical procedures, including skin cancer excisions and biopsies. She hopes to build upon her dermatologic foundation under Dr. Hunt so that she can see her own patients one day.
In line with Derma Birmingham’s mission, Aseel is especially passionate about preventive medicine and patient education and is dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve healthier skin through thoughtful, individualized care. Her clinical interests include oncodermatology, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema.
