We’re growing—and we couldn’t be more excited about who is joining us.

This September, Dr. Ana Naumescu, MD (Board-Certified Dermatologist) will begin seeing patients at Derma Birmingham, bringing her exceptional training, warm personality, and love for Birmingham home to our practice.

A Birmingham native, Dr. Naumescu completed her dermatology residency at Yale, where she served as chief resident. She previously attended UAB School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude and as valedictorian.

Dr. Naumescu provides comprehensive medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology, with particular interests in hair loss, pigmentary disorders such as melasma, inflammatory skin conditions, hidradenitis suppurativa, pediatric dermatology, and restorative cosmetic dermatology.  She has expertise and top-tier training in over 3,000 different skin, hair, and nail conditions.

We are especially excited because her arrival means more access and more choices for our patients. Whether you need a skin cancer screening, help with acne or rosacea, treatment for a chronic skin condition, help with hair loss or pigmentation, or thoughtful cosmetic care, our growing team can help you find the right dermatologist for your needs.
